This programme of short films included Jill Uncredited. Prolific background actor Jill Goldston takes centre stage in this unique portrait by Anthony Ing. The film is a lyrical journey through popular culture, and a haunting study of a life lived out of focus. Canadian Cinematographer Jeremy Benning’s Footsteps looks at the self-made sounds of big budget foley in rural Ontario.
Self-made filmic themes continue in Bonnie Black’s Self Tape where we witness the mental breakdown of a young actress as she sits down to film a self tape and Caroline Rumeleys’ SFK look at young filmmakers camaraderie at the Schule Friedl Kubelka for Independent Film.
Creative assembly continues with award winning Matt Hulse glimpse at Helen Westhrop’s life in animation making and Tessa Garland Island Garden reimagines the garden assemblages and structures as mysterious relics, suspended between past and future. Blurring the line between a life stories, science and fiction.
